Having criminal convictions on your record reduces your employment and housing options. Under Michigan law, many are eligible to have their criminal convictions set aside and made “nonpublic”. LAD provides free legal review of your ICHAT (public internet criminal history through the Michigan State Police) to advise you on your eligibility to have your criminal conviction(s) set aside, and free legal representation through the record expungement process. For qualified applicants, some of the costs associated with the expungement process may be covered through grants. If you are a resident of Wayne, Oakland or Macomb counties and believe you could benefit from our assistance, please call 313.967.5800 or 877.964.4700 – Wednesdays between the hours of 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Click Here to Apply
